C.A. “Gundy” Gunderson was born May 18, 1937, in Twin Lakes. He died Oct. 3, 2008.
He was in the Marines from 1955 to 1958. Gundy was a decorated and respected police officer for 35 years and retired as the chief of police of Northglenn, Colo.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betsy; his three children Robin (Chris), Kristin (Tom) and Michael; seven granchildren: C.T., Tyler, Connor, Samantha, Nicholas, Bryce and Chase; five sisters; and one brother.
A memorial service is Wednesday at Crossroads Church, 104th and Huron, Colo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rocky Mountain Cancer Center Foundation, 1161 S. Vivian St., Lakewood, Colo., 80228.
