Along with the breakfast, there will be an opportunity to check out the fire engines and the new fire hall. There will be fire hats for the first 100 children that show up and “stop, drop and roll” and “crawl low under smoke” training for the kids at the top of every hour.

The fire department consists of 26 volunteers and is not only dedicated to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Glenville but the entire surrounding community as well. The department covers six miles of Interstate 35, eight miles of railroad, 42 square miles, including the Poet Biorefining Ethanol plant and the Soymor Biodiesel plant. The city of Gordonsville and parts of Shellrock and Freeman Township are also included in their service territory.

The profits from the breakfast will be used to educate and train the volunteers as well as purchase equipment.
