Funeral services for Juline Johanna Jacobs, age 83, of Alden will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Conger. The Rev. Gary Hanson will officiate. Interment will be at the Conger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. To sign the guest book, goto www.bayviewfuneral.com
 Juline died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center.
Juline Johanna Jacobs was born on June 11,1925 to Chris and Laura (Svendsen) Andersen in Ada. Juline grew up in Freeborn County in the Alden/Conger area. She graduated from Albert Lea High School and went to teachers college in Wells. Juline worked as a teacher in a country school as a young woman. Juline was united in marriage to Elmer Jacobs on June 24, 1947 in Alden. She farmed with her husband in the Alden area their entire lives. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and active in the circle. Juline was also active in 4-H as a Key Leader. She also volunteered with her husband at St. John’s Lutheran Home. Juline enjoyed baking, canning and her garden. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping them with their 4-H projects. Juline also had many open class exhibits of her own at the fair. 
Survivors include her sons, Larry Jacobs of Alden and Lee and his wife Karen Jacobs of Alden; grandchildren, Chris Jacobs, Sally (Tim) Anderson, Heidi (Bryce) Brenneman, Kary (Justin) Reicherts, and Matt (Bobbie Jo) Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Trayton and Gavin Anderson, Logan, Lexie and Linzy Reicherts, and Makenna and Carter Jacobs; sister, Laurine (Ernie) Kabrud of Albert Lea; many nieces and nephews.
Juline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer in 2004, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
