Margaret Powell, 79, beloved daughter of Matthew and Anna Mae McEniry, passed away peacefully at home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., surrounded by her family on Sept. 14, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Powell; and is survived by her husband, Kenneth Etheredge; four children; and six grandchildren.
Margaret grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. Although Margaret had not lived in Minnesota since 1974, she often returned to visit her many friends. Margaret often said that Minnesota was at its best on her birthday, Oct. 11, and that was her favorite time of year to visit.
Margaret will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota on Oct. 10. Donations may be made in Margaret’s name to St. Vincent DePaul.
