Permits for homes, ALMC facility issued

A facility for nuclear medicine at the Albert Lea Medical Center, 404 W. Fountain St., plus two new homes, were the highlights for the September report from the City of Albert Lea Inspection Department.

The building permit for the ALMC nuclear medical facility has a listed valuation of $410,000.

One of the new homes is on Blackmer Avenue and the second is on Pride Lane.

The total valuation listed for the two homes is $434,000. This increases the new living unit permits issued to four for the year.

The city’s report shows 39 building permits with a valuation of $1,301,733 were issued during September. This increases the total valuation for city-issued permits to $10, 095,417 for the first nine months of the year.

At the end of September 2007 the city’ report shows a total valuation of $20,507,435 for permits issued.

The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued 31 building permits with a listed valuation of $675,764 during September. This increases the estimated total valuation to $6,510, 301 for the first nine months of 2008.

Permits were issued by the county for two new homes and six home additions and/or garages during September.
