The Northwood-Kensett Vikings continued to roll Friday in a 34-20 homecoming win over Tripoli.

It was the third straight win for the No. 7-ranked Vikings (5-1, 4-0) and they did it with a strong rushing attack. Northwood-Kensett amassed 343 yards on the ground with Ryan Mueller leading the way with 135 yards.

The Vikings jumped out to a 13-0 first quarter lead behind the efforts of Jordan Reindl and Phillip Fierova. Reindl and Fierova hooked up on a 23-yard pass 1:28 into the game and Reindl added a 50-yard touchdown run with three minutes left in the first quarter.

Northwood-Kensett added a touchdown in the next three quarters and cruised to the win.

The Panthers tried to get things going through the air and quarterback Drew Dettmering completed a 64-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Milius in the third quarter to cut the game to 27-13 but the Vikings added two scores to ice the game. Dettmering finished 16-for-34 but threw four interceptions as the Northwood-Kensett secondary flexed its muscle.

Spencer Capitani had two interceptions, Tyson Warner and Jordan Reindl added one each as Tripoli committed six turnovers in the game.

The strong Vikings rushing attack continued to grind away at the Panthers defense and proved too strong for Tripoli to contain.
