Albert Dieser

The funeral Mass for Albert P. Dieser will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Resurrection in Rochester; the Rev. Thomas Loomis will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dieser, 78, died of natural causes Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Maple Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Rochester.
He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Austin. A Rochester resident since 1971, he had previously lived in Austin; Sioux City, Iowa; and Baraboo, Wis. In 1959 he married Connie Taylor in Chicago; they were later divorced.
Mr. Dieser worked as a building engineer in Chicago, and later managed Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in various cities. He also worked in the custodial department at Mayo Clinic. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons, Barry (Jane) of Brookfield, Wis., and Dennis (Doreen) of Albert Lea; three grandchildren; four brothers, Adam (Shirley) and Joseph (Margaret), both of Austin, Peter of Park Rapids, Minn., and John of Austin; and two sisters, Betty (Albert) Kern of Cuba City, Wis., and Madeline Filer of St. James Bay, Fla. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call an hour before the service at Resurrection Catholic Church.
Memorials are preferred to Catholic Charities.
