Government needs a 10 percent decrease

Published 8:57 am Monday, November 17, 2008

The decisions regarding our government budgets cannot be left to government officials alone, or we will continue to see the vast government bureaucracy grow and eat up more tax dollars every year. We taxpayers must give the bureaucrats some direction. I suggest that government be cut back 10 percent — staff, buildings and vehicles — and that applies on the local, state and national levels. Hopefully this would allow some tax dollars for new initiatives, services to those in need, and repair of our infrastructure.
