James Barger

James Raymond Barger Jr., 97, passed away Nov. 10, 2008. He was born in Philadelphia where he was owner of Barger Construction Co. Inc. and a member of the General Contractors Association.
From Philadelphia he moved to Sea Island, Ga., where he was a member of Christ Church on St. Simons Island. He was also a member of St. Alban Masonic Temple, Philadelphia and Patron of the Metropolitan Museum. He was a loving person and will be remembered for many things including his artistic talents.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy K. Barger. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth M. Barger; daughters, Sandra B. Konstanzer of Castle Rock, Colo., and Mary B. Robinson (Albert H.) of Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, David Edwards, Melinda Van Moorsel, Elizabeth Browne and Michelle Robinson; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday in the Egret Hall at Cypress Village, 4600 Middleton Park Circle, Jacksonville, Fla., with the Rev. Carol Lavery officiating.
