Funeral services for Eldreth Marcella Lang, 88, of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Bromeland will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Eldreth died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center.
Eldreth Marcella (Eldy) Lang was born on July 29, 1920, to Melvin and Edelea (Kleven) Westrum in Glenville. Eldy attended school in Glenville District 35 and four years in Dexter. She was united in marriage to George A. Lang on Oct. 28, 1937, in Northwood, Iowa. Eldy was employed at Wilson & Co. for 10 years. She was a member of the Glenville United Methodist Church and the Albert Lea VFW. Eldy enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, George; son, Neil and his wife Barbara Lang of Albert Lea; daughter, Sharon Nelson of Albert Lea and special friend, Richard Helland of Glenville; grandchildren: Randy Delger of Albert Lea, Roxanne (Steve) Poliak of River Falls, Wis., Stephanie (Randy) Erdman of Albert Lea and Stacia Lang of Los Angeles, Calif.; great-grandchildren: Heather (Tom) Sadauskis of Rochester, Travis Delger of Albert Lea, Afton (Phil) Wacholz of Albert Lea, Beau (Sara) Edwards of Rosemount, Joshua (Megan) Edwards of Farmington, Miles Erdman of Albert Lea; John and Mike Poliak, River Falls, Wis.; great-great grandchildren: Zane and Zoe Sadauskis of Rochester, Neveah Wacholz of Albert Lea and Ezra Edwards of Farmington; sisters: Colleen Ingvaldson and Vilma Johnson; many nieces and nephews.
Eldreth was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Orville and Loren Westrum; and granddaughter, Nancy Delger.
