Marjorie Theresa (Hove) Thompson, 84, of Wells, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. The Rev. Kathy Fullarton will officiate. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Bricelyn Lutheran Cemetery, Seely Township, Faribault County.
Marjorie Thompson was born March 15, 1924, in Seely Township, the daughter of Eddie and Annie (Johnson) Hove. On Oct. 8, 1962, she married Dale Thompson at the Little Brown Church in Iowa.
Marjorie was a dedicated caregiver. She had a quick wit, which everyone enjoyed. She enjoyed baking lefse and other goodies. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed camping, wintering in Texas, and flowers. She worked at Bricelyn Hardware for many years and was a custodian for many people and businesses. She was a member of the Bricelyn American Legion Auxiliary and the Bricelyn Fire Department Auxiliary.
Marjorie is survived by her husband Dale of Wells; Sisters Thelma Roberts of Fairmont, Clarice Rhoda of Elmore, Arlean Baker of Surprise, Ariz., and Shirley Helling of Hudson, Iowa; Sisters-in-law Anola Hove of Blue Earth, and Lavon Hove of Bricelyn; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Orville, Clifford, and Arlow; sisters: Gladys Keister and Emmeline Henning; and her beloved dog Mindy.
