At a recent meeting of the Albert Lea Rotary Club, Ann Austin was inducted as the club’s newest member. The Albert Lea Rotary Club began in 1922, when a group of Austin Rotarians took the train to Albert Lea to launch the new club. Austin is a native of Rogers and graduated from Elk River High School. She attended and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College. While there, she met and married Albert Lea native Nick Austin. After her move to Albert Lea, Ann worked as a reporter for the Albert Lea Tribune and now serves as the executive director of the United Way.
