Veterans, spouses, and the public are invited to the annual free veterans Christmas party Saturday, Dec. 13, beginning at 9 a.m. at the St. Angsar, Iowa American Legion. You don’t need to be a veteran to attend. Lunch and treats will be catered by Master of Ceremonies Ron Pinta of Hampton, Iowa. Music will be by the Meitner Polka Band of St. Angsar. This may be your last opportunity to see the Meitner Band in its current configuration. On Jan. 1, 2009, the band becomes the CLM Band (Clark-Law-Meitner).
