Jerry Evenson

Jerry Eugene Evenson, 60, formally of Albert Lea, died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Mason City Hospice House as the result of cancer. His memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at First Lutheran Church Chapel in Albert Lea at 10 a.m.
He was at Manly Iowa Nursing and Rehab Home for three years.
He was born June 15, 1948, in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1967. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.
Jerry loved fishing, camping, visiting with friends, and he had a great sense of humor that everyone enjoyed.
He worked many years at Somedy Drug Supply, as a car salesman and as a desk worker at the Civic Inn in Rochester.
He is survived by three sisters: Michelle Evenson of Albert Lea, Beth (Mike) Gaetze of Peora, Ariz., and Nancy (Steve) Lowe of Waleska, Ga.; one brother, Tom (Robin) Evenson of Albert Lea; a special friend, Mary Gilbertson of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Marvin Evenson; grandparents; and uncle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to Mason City Hospice.
