Norma Trae

Funeral services for Norma Trae of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson and Vicar Luke Ulrich will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery.
Norma died Saturday morning at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 94 years of age.
Norma was born Jan. 16, 1914, near Cameron, Wis., the daughter of Ingvald and Olga (Westby) Peterson. She attended country school in Wisconsin. On Oct. 24, 1941, she was united in marriage to Arnold Trae and together they farmed in Freeborn County until his passing Jan. 4, 1950.
Norma was a very devout Christian and took a lot of pride in her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making crafts and reading until her eyesight failed her. She moved into Oak Park Place in June of 2006 where she received the comfort, friends and help she needed.
Norma is survived by her children: Donna White of Albert Lea, Arlin Trae of Albert Lea and Norris Trae of Owatonna; grandchildren include: Brian (Amy) White of Albert Lea, Sean (Kim) White of Redmond, Wash., Jessi White of Redmond, Wash., and Kristi White of Mankato; great- grandchildren are: Nicole Koester, Jacob and Caleb White of Albert Lea, Ethan and Aidan White of Redmond, Wash. There are numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; son-in-law, Richard White; sisters: Evelyn Oppegard, and Irene Peterson; brothers: Clifford in infancy and Irvin Peterson; sisters-in-law: Lena Dybvik, Esther Hengesteg, Evelyn Selstad, Mabel Sletten, Tena Kvam, Cora Trae Laurine Bergerson and Elvina Jerdee; brothers-in-law: Elmer and Kenneth Trae.
