Marty Seifert, minority leader of the house, will be speaking at an appreciation banquet hosted by the Freeborn County Republicans at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Seifert will talk about the complex issues facing the state legislature, as well as how to make changes to the Republican Party from what was learned in 2008, according to a letter from Anne Schleck and Tiny Brandt, co-chairs of the Freeborn County Republicans.

Other “surprise” guests will be attending, the letter said.
