The memorial mass for Francis Weigel, 87, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Francis died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Thorne Crest.
Francis Weigel was born on July 15, 1921, to Chris and Julia Weigel in Topeka, Kan. Francis spent his life serving his country in the Navy for 20 years.
Francis is survived by his wife, Helen, and sisters, Marie Pick and Catherine Callahan.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
