Grace Reshetar

Grace Lettie Reshetar, 85, of Austin, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 3, 2009, at Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea. She was born Dec. 13, 1923, to Alfred and Lettie (Bollinger) Thompson in Minnesota Lake, where she graduated from high school. She was employed at Franklin Transformers in Minneapolis. She married Peter George Reshetar on Sept. 3, 1946 in Minneapolis. They moved to Austin in 1947 where Grace did market research at Hormel Foods Corp. for over 20 years. Involved in Mother’s Club, Birthday Club and Christian Women’s Club, she loved flower gardening, camping, fishing, crocheting, music, dancing and making quilts. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Peter G. Reshetar of Albert Lea; son, Ronald (Janet) Reshetar of Albert Lea; daughter, Judy (Ronald) Lunt of North Barrington, Ill.; seven grandchildren: Eric (Christine) Lunt, Brian (Jennifer) Lunt, Christian Lunt, Blake (Susan) Lunt, David (Lori) Hensche, Daniel (Amanda) Hensche and Bethanie (Shelton) Crowder; fourteen great grandchildren: Jessica Lunt, Maya Lunt, Trevor Lunt, Charlie Lunt, Ashley (Sean) Casey, Desiree’ Hensche, Amanda Hensche, Dalton Hensche, La’Keisha Crowder, LaKira Crowder, LaTrel Crowder, Gianna Hensche, Lucas Hensche and Callen Hensche; three great, great grandchildren: Peyton Casey, Sean Casey and Anastyn Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lettie and Alfred Thompson; brothers, Kenneth and Melvin Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kristi Koppel officiating. Friends called from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery.
