After the first quarter it appeared the Lake Mills girls’ basketball team was in store for another evening like Thursday when the Bulldogs scored 10 first half points, but they responded with a strong second quarter en route to a 34-28 win over West Hancock Friday in Lake Mills.

Morgan Fjelstad led Lake Mills (4-14, 4-9) with nine points while Jordynn Brackey and Jade Durnil each had six in the win.

Brook Heusinkveld led the Eagles (11-8, 7-6) with 11 points.

The Bulldogs face Newman in Lake Mills Monday.
