The Minnesota News Photographers Association is holding an online photo auction beginning today at 6 p.m. and going through March 8.

All of the photos up for bid have been taken by Minnesota photojournalists and include all kinds of pictures, from sports to politics to nature. One of Tribune photojournalist Brie Cohen’s images is included in the auction.

The auction is an eBay auction. You can check out the pictures online at mnpa.org. The winning bidder gets the print with shipping free of charge.

All of the proceeds go to benefit the Minnesota News Photographers Association. Much of the money goes to bringing in speakers to the yearly convention that Cohen and many of the Minnesota news photographers attend. The speakers help inform the photographers of new ways to do things and how to do things better to help improve their newspapers.
