Alyssa Kerkhoff didn’t keep the fans waiting long Friday night in New Richland.

Kerkhoff, a sophomore guard for the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls’ basketball team, needed 21 points to reach 1,000 career points. She scored 21 in the first half as the Panthers (22-1, 14-0) rolled over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 68-20.

“The girls came out on a mission tonight,” NRHEG head coach Mindy Sparby said. “They played great defense and we made most of our points in transition in the first half.”
