Funeral services for Paul Norman Fredrickson, 56, of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Paul died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at his home.
Paul Norman Fredrickson was born on Oct. 2, 1952, to Norman and Loretta (Wolff) Fredrickson in Albert Lea. He was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Glenville. Paul grew up in rural Glenville and attended Glenville schools. Paul most recently resided at REM Woodvale in Albert Lea and enjoyed reading the paper and books about animals. He also enjoyed watching Animal Planet and the Minnesota Vikings.
Survivors include his brother, David (Rhonda) Fredrickson of Albert Lea; special cousin, Brian Fredrickson of Albert Lea; brother-in-law, Duane “Buzz” Smith of Chisholm; uncle, Elry Wolff of Northwood, Iowa; aunt, Marvlyn Hoyt of San Diego, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy Smith.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers of REM Woodvale for the years of loving care given to Paul.
