Permits issued for Cargill projects

January could be considered to be a slow construction month, however, the latest report from the City of Albert Lea Inspection Department might indicate otherwise.

Two permits were issued to Cargill, 702 13th St., in January. One, with a valuation of $1,622,819, is for what the report says is a remodeling project. The second Cargill permit had a valuation of $17,263 for the installation of a fire sprinkler system.

During January the city issued 10 building permits with a total valuation of $2,358,230.

At the end of January 2008 the city’s report showed that 17 building permits with a total valuation of $534,340 were issued.

A permit with a valuation of $134,948 was issued in January to the Wedgewood Cove Golf Club, 2200 Ninth St., for the installation of a fire sprinkler system.

The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued three building permits with a listed valuation of $40,990.
