Tough D helps Wolverine boys beat Cardinals

Strong first half defense helped power the Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team Friday night as its offense heated up in the second half in a 60-33 win.

The Wolverines (9-14 overall, 4-11 SEC) held LeRoy-Ostrander (11-15 overall, 7-9 SEC) to just 10 points in the first half.

In the second half Glenville-Emmons exploded for 41 points.

Michael Knight led LeRoy-Ostrander with 12 points as he scored his 1,000th career point.

Michael Adams led all scorers with 17 while Derek Sanderson and Jon Mittag each had double-doubles for the Wolverines.

Sanderson scored 15 points and added 14 rebounds and Mittag scored 12 points and had 14 rebounds.
