USC girls’ grab victory over Mankato Loyola

Val Sahr recorded yet another double-double Thursday and the United South Central girls’ basketball team picked up another victory over Mankato Loyola in Mankato.

Sahr scored had 18 points in the first half and finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Ciara Christensen added 18 points in the 66-53 win.

The Rebels (13-11, 10-5) were able to seal the victory with another outstanding performance at the free throw line. USC hit 17 of their 23 free throw attempts in the win.

The Rebels face Granada-Huntley-East Chain Monday before finishing the season against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown.
