Buffett tribute band performs tonight

It’s time to welcome spring to Albert Lea. Pete and the Parrot Heads will be bringing their tribute to Jimmy Buffett to the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center tonight at 7:30.

Band leader Pete Hall describes the event as a Jimmy Buffett Tribute show and a lot more.
“We play Parrot Head music, old beach party stuff and surfing music like “Wipe Out,” he said. “We wear Hawaiian shirts and jump around. We’re billed as the worlds’ funniest beach party band.”
Pete and the Parrot Heads performs classic Jimmy Buffett songs like “Margaritaville,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Come Monday” “Five O’clock Somewhere,” and many more.
Pete and the Parrot Heads features Pete Hall on guitar, bass, harmonica and vocals, Steve Pinkney on guitar, Mandolin, slide guitar and vocals, and Dave Ludington on drums will have you movin,’ grovin and having a great time throughout their entire performance.
Pete and the Parrot Heads have performed across the country and in Canada, England and Japan. They have performed with Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bob Segar, Buddy Guy, Mitch Ryder and even Iggy Pop.
“I figured that we’re pretty close to spring by March 13,” said manager Patrick Rasmussen. “Even if winter is making its last stand, there’s no better way to let spring in with Jimmy Buffett and beach music. I hope people find their Hawaiian shirts, dance in the aisles and celebrate the end of winter.”
