Humane Society of Freeborn County needs your assistance

The first Humane Society was formed in 1866 in New York City. Since that time, hundreds of thousands of dedicated people have formed Humane Societies in their goal to fight animal cruelty.

The Humane Society of Freeborn County also has that mission. But putting animals in the shelter is not the answer; there needs to be more.  The Humane Society of Freeborn County has the capacity to attain greatness — with your help. Fostering a pet, volunteering, tax-deductible donations, pet food, blankets, vet care, neutering and spaying costs, pet medications … these are only a few ways you can help. The Humane Society will be holding fundraisers to generate funds also.  Upcoming fundraisers are:

March 12 — KATE/KCPI will host Radio Days for the Humane Society between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. There will be guest speakers and you can call in or come in with your tax-deductible donations.

Email newsletter signup

March 28 — Applebees will be the site of the Humane Society’s pancake breakfast between the hours of 6 and 11 a.m.

Future fundraisers will be announced in the Albert Lea Tribune.  Please be sure to watch for them.
