Mary “Dee” Riley, 70, of Northfield, passed away Feb. 24, 2009 and will be remembered as a true optimist, missed by all who knew her.
She was born July 16, 1938, in Waverly, she graduated from the College of St. Catherine in 1960 with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and from the University of St. Thomas with a Masters degree in 1987. She worked nearly 40 years as a nurse and administrator at St. Joseph’s, Fairview-Riverside, and Naeve Hospitals, and was widely respected by her colleagues for her energy and commitment.
Survived by husband, James Riley; daughters: Shannon Riley (Chris Murray) and Maureen Huot; sons: Robert and Michael; beloved grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Dominic’s Church in Northfield. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. before the service at the church.
