School week should be 5 days

I’m writing today as a member of the community and a student at Albert Lea High School. The school week should not go from a five-day week to a four-day school week.

Waking up at 7 a.m., going to school at 8 a.m. and getting back home at 3 p.m. is exhausting enough. Adding any more hours to our school day would be extremely hard, adding on homework and extra-curriculars.

If say Glenville-Emmons decides to pull it through, who’s to say we won’t consider it and one day use it. I’m here to say it’s not a good idea for us. It’s running us down for saving a little money worth it?

With a longer school day, how do they plan to work out sports practices and games? Or for those who have outside-of-school extra-curriculars? Confirmation, dance, jobs? Our free time will be on Fridays only. If you think about it that is not enough. Everything can’t be fit in a day. Is this really a good idea? Please consider it.
