Funeral services for Aaron W. Sargent Jr., 5 months, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview and one hour prior to the service.
Aaron William Sargent Jr. was born on Nov. 2, 2008, in Albert Lea, the son of Aaron Sr. and Stephanie (Watson Nagel) Sargent. He was born with congenital heart defects. Aaron put up a good fight during his short life but ultimately lost his battle on Friday April 17, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. Aaron spent his last six days at home with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents: Stephanie and Aaron Sargent of Albert Lea; sister, Felicity Sargent; brother, Jaxson Sargent; grandparents: Dwight and Laura Lee Sargent of Clarks Grove and Heidi and Ron Watson of Glenville; great-grandparents: Jerry and Kathy Watson of Washington, Don Overton and Evelyn Nagel, of Laughlin, Nev., Caroline Kramer of Albert Lea, and George and Jackie Nagel of Cheynne, Wyo.; great-great-grandparents: Louella Bohm of Iowa and Genevieve Watson of Arizona; aunts: Rhonda Watson of Glenville, Christina Sargent of Albert Lea, Stephanie Sargent of Clarks Grove, and Heather Rosas of Clarks Grove; uncles: Dwight Sargent II of Clarks Grove and Phillip Sargent of Massachusetts; and many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and friends.
