A recent article in the Tribune stated that Albert Lea is going to get $3 million in stimulus funds to “relocate” the main runway at the airport. Unless Albert Lea is now going to have an international airport the money should be put to better use than for a runway that primarily benefits individuals who are fortunate enough to own or fly a small plane for their own personal use.
