The Tiger C baseball team dropped a pair of games at Owatonna on last Thursday afternoon 10-2 and 8-2.

The team’s pitching was much improved as Wyeth Anderson pitched a strong complete first game.

A couple of untimely errors and a lack of consistent hitting was the key to the first game loss.

The bright spots for the first game were Jordan Johnson had a double and Jake Price went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In the second game Logan Enderson and Dylan Cottrell pitched well for the Tigers but again errors were the key in the 8-2 loss.

Five errors cost the team, allowing Owatonna to get an early lead.

A lack of hitting in the second game made it very difficult for the Tigers to come back.

Houston Sharpe managed to have a good day at the plate going 2-for-2 with an RBI and Trey Hable went 2-for-3 with the other RBI.

The strong point to for both games was the improvement of the entire pitching staff. Wyeth Anderson, Trey Hable, Dylan Cottrell and Logan Enderson have all made great progress from the beginning of the 2009 season.
