Bruce Boettcher, 81

Bruce Oliver Boettcher, 81, of Waseca, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Mankato on June 2, 1927, he was the son of Virginia Boettcher of Wells. He was the oldest of three children and attended school in Wells. In 1948, he was united in marriage to Marvyl Kinsley of Albert Lea and they began their family of four children. He worked at Super Structures in Albert Lea before moving to Minneapolis in 1952 where he was the superintendent of production for Marby Manufacturing Co. until 1965. They later moved to Matawan where they resided for 25 years and moved to Waseca in 1990. Bruce loved to travel, play cards and ride the bus to casinos.
He is survived by his wife, Marvyl, at Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home in Waseca; three daughters: Debra (Bob) Gains of Le High Acres, Fla., Sheryl (Merle) Adams of Waseca and Pamela Buker of Waseca; grandchildren: Melanie (Mark) Anderson of Owatonna, Jason Boettcher of Owatonna, Angela (Tim) Thissen of Waseca, Ashley Buker of Waseca and Corey Nelson of Waseca; and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, George Boettcher of Albert Lea.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one son, Thomas; and one sister, Donna Nelson.
Private funeral services are being held. Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca is handling arrangements.
