Foster David Andersen, age 61, of Cannon Falls, died on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at his home at Freeborn Manor in Cannon Falls.
Foster was born on Sept. 3, 1947, in Albert Lea, the son of Foster and Fern (Wolfe) Andersen.
He served during the Vietnam era with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Forrestal, until his honorable discharge.  Foster was a welder by trade.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, David Anderson of Apple Valley; and sister, Jan Sorenson of Troy, Mont.
There will be no services held. His cremated remains will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
