Marlene R. Gray, of Omaha, Neb., born June 19, 1935, in Albert Lea, died May 8, 2009, in Omaha.  
Preceded in death by husband, Robert G. Gray; parents, Chris and Arlida Venem; grandson, Matthew Veys. 
Survived by daughters: Kim Bemis and husband Lyn, Debra Gray, Renee Fulton and husband Robin; son, John Gray and wife Mary Jo; 10 grandchildren; sister, Sharon Parkins and husband Ed; brothers: Ronald Venem and wife Cheryl, Tom Venem and wife Jeanne, Arnold Venem and wife Mary Ann; many nieces and nephews.
Services are Monday, 11 a.m., at Lutheran Church of the Master, 2617 S. 114 St., Omaha. Visitation from 9 a.m. Sunday, with family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Center Chapel. Memorials to American Red Cross or Nebraska Heart Association. Visitation Wednesday at 10 a.m. to noon at Ascension Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, followed by burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea.
