Stephen Arthur Jacobson, 53, of Burnsville, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at his home. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Wells. The Rev. Paul Woolverton will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. burial at Rosehill Cemetery.
Stephen was born June 11, 1955, in Wells, the son of Wallace and Olive (Hanson) Jacobson. He graduated from Staples High School class of 1975. He went on to attend vocational school for carpentry, and then for photo finishing technology. He worked for Disney while living in Florida, and after he returned to Minnesota, he worked for Herff Jones and Asset Marketing. He enjoyed cameras, photography, music and horse races.
Stephen is survived by his father Wallace (Eileen) Jacobson of Wells; brothers: David (Carol) Jacobson and Daniel (Bonnie) Jacobson, all of Wells, Mark Jacobson of Spring Grove and Timothy Jacobson of Burnsville; stepbrother Jim (LouAnn) Stoen of Albert Lea; three nephews; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Olive.
