Three more prominent Democrats say they’re considering running for governor next year as the field opens up.
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak say they’re weighing campaigns.
They appeared together Thursday at an unrelated Capitol news conference on solar energy.
The race was shaken up earlier this week when Gov. Tim Pawlenty said he won’t run for a third term.
A crew of Democrats have already taken steps toward running, while others are considering it.
Pawlenty’s announcement set off a rush toward the race on the Republican side.
