Funeral services for Rosella RuthAnn Weber, 79, of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. James Berning will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Rosella died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Rosella RuthAnn Weber was born on Sept. 13, 1929, to Otto and Mary (Andre) Harig in Geneva Township, Freeborn County. She attended Alden schools. On July 8, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert R. Weber at the Church of St. Theodore. Rosie was a cook at St. Mary’s and St. Theodore’s school. After that she was employed at Edwards Manufacturing until her retirement in 1991. Rosie was a member of the Church of St. Theodore, American Legion, VFW, and Eagles Auxiliaries. She enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling, dancing, playing cards and country music. Rosie especially enjoyed the relationship she developed with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Judi (James) Olson, Steven Weber (and special friend Jackie Clark), Joyce (Rick) Culhane, and David (Robin) Weber; grandchildren: Danielle (David) Nelson, Janelle (Greg) Jensen, Robert (Kirsten) Webb, Amy (Steve) Miller, Robert (April) Weber, Sara (Shane) VanBarneveld, Michael Culhane, Shelly (Bruce) Egeness, Nikki (Joel) Knutson; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Carly, Claire, and Sawyer Nelson, Morgana, Sierra and Bowen Jensen, Reece Webb, Tyler, Alec and Lena Rose Miller, Jake and Hank Weber, and Chloe and Lex VanBarneveld; brother, Robert (Marlys) Harig; sisters-in-law: Arlene Hotson, Louise Weber, Reta Harig and Lucille Greiner.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert in 2000; daughter-in-law, Lena Weber; grandson, Matthew Olson; great-grandaughter, Jennifer Nelson; brothers: Leo Harig, Harold Harig, Howard Harig and Edward Harig; sisters: Edel Wangsness, Teresa Christensen, Mary Kaushagen and Helen Emstad; brothers-in-law: Bud Hotson, Lester Weber, Frank Greiner, Clarence Wangsness, Fay Emstad, Earl Kaushagen and Mellvin Christensen.
