Thanks for helping out a college student

I recently had a garage sale to help finance my college funds, such as textbooks and tuition. It’s safe to say that this garage sale has made more of an impact on me than just the money earned.
My father, Tom Minehart, called “Party Line” on the days of the sale to promote it, and also informed the listeners that I am currently going to school for journalism, and the money earned would go toward that. I would like to thank everyone who came to support my cause.
I have a few special thanks to three men who heard my father on “Party Line.” Each of them came to the sale with no intentions of buying anything, but instead to donate money to my schooling. Thanks to Bob from Iowa and Scott Truesdell of Albert Lea, I truly appreciate the generosity.
Also, I would like to thank Harold Reed of Albert Lea, who donated to my cause after hearing my father talk so highly of me and the people of Albert Lea. Reed stayed to talk with me about journalism and other fascinating things about his life. He brightened my day a little more, and I will never forget him for it.
Going into this garage sale, I figured I would make just enough money for my textbooks. I never expected it would have an such a large impact on my life. There are so many people out there with good hearts and spirits, and they’re everywhere.
