Funeral services for Carroll Stevens, 86, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Society Chapel. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Carroll Stevens died on Aug. 22, 2009, at The Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea.
Carroll was born May 4, 1923, to Freeman and Dorothy (Koos) Smith in Mitchell, S.D. After spending her early years in an orphanage she was adopted by John and Helen (Opie) Fleming. On Nov. 23, 1947, she was united in marriage to Malcom Stevens in Albert Lea. Carroll was a homemaker and during WWII Carroll worked at Wilson’s Packing Co. She enjoyed singing church hymns and had a very strong faith.
Survivors include her sons: Gerald of Boston, Mass., and Edward of Albert Lea.
Carroll was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Malcom.
