The Glenville-Emmons varsity cheerleaders recently returned from a National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) summer camp.

The camp was held at Mason City High School in Iowa and attracted more than 80 cheerleaders from the surrounding area.

The Glenville-Emmons cheerleaders received the following awards at the NCA camp they attended: Spirit Award — This prestigious award is selected by the camp members as the team who exemplifies true team spirit and camaraderie; Spirit Stick Winner — Presented to the squad showing the most sincere spirit and enthusiasm throughout the entire week at camp; S.P.O.T Award — Given to the squad who shows the best progress and safety in their stunt technique; Excellent Award in their cheer skills and Superior award in their chant skills.

They were also presented with a bid to the National Cheerleading Championship.

The Glenville-Emmons cheerleaders are: Noelle Hagen — captain, Corwin Johnson — captain, Katie Hillman, Alissa Jacobsen, Jaden Rasmusson, Kendra Davis, Jamie Williamson, Kendall Gullickson, Rachel Hagen, Paige Marlin and Charlotte Carroll.
