Irene Langford, 95, St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, died Aug. 15, 2009, at St. Francis Home.
The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Nursing Home Chapel, Breckenridge, with the Rev. Terry Dodge officiating.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge.
Irene is survived by one sister, Orella Nelson, Breckenridge; her step-son, David Fredrickson, and his wife, Ronda, Albert Lea; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilfred and Virginia Morin; her brother, Adrian Morin; her sisters: sister Joan (Adell) Morin, Corrine Jenson, Mamie Rhode, Elizebeth Trudeau, Bertha Hanson; her first husband, Norman Fredrickson; her second husband, Everett Langford.
Irene was born Feb. 26, 1914, at Argyle, the daughter of Wilfred and Virginia (Brossoit) Morin. At the age of 16 she joined the Sisters of St. Joseph in Crookston. Irene taught school for many years.
After 40 years she left the convent with special dispensation and worked in St. Paul for a few years. In 1974, Irene was married to Norman Fredrickson. They were married for almost 20 years and lived in Glenville until his death.
Irene and Everett Langford were married in 1995 and lived in Tablerock, Mo., until he passed away.
Irene then moved to Breckenridge to live near her sister, Orella, at the York Manor. She became a resident of St. Francis Home in May 2006.
Irene enjoyed reading, sewing and especially reading The Bible.
