The Albert Lea Salvation Army after school program is now accepting applications for the 2009-10 school year. Applications may be picked up at 302 Court Street. The program is open to any child entering kindergarten through sixth-grade. The program runs from Tuesday, Sept. 8, through the last day of school 2010. Hours are 3 to 6 p.m. and weekly cost is $20 per child.

Children will participate in structured learning, reading, crafts, gym, recreation, snacks and time to work on homework.
