Paul Jacobsen

Paul Jacobsen, 67, of 702 S. Park Ave., Medford, Wis., died Monday, Aug. 3, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 8 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford. Burial took place in Medford Evergreen Cemetery II, where there were gravesite military rites performed by the Medford Military Honors Team.
Paul was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Fredrick and Margret (Pedersen) Jacobsen. He married Rebecca Hutchinson on Aug. 10, 1981, at Iron Mountain, Mich.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1962, aboard the USS Shark, the first nuclear submarine. He worked at Weather Shield Manufacturing from 1981 to 1985 until retirement.
He was known for his love of cars and computers. He formed PJ’s software and worked out of his home.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca, of Medford; children Diedre (Douglas) Light of Minneapolis, Tiffany Jacobsen of Monticello, Mark (Heidi) Jacobsen of Oconto, Wis., Timmy, Julie and Danny Weckwerth of Minnesota; mother, Margret Pedersen-Jacobsen, of Albert Lea; siblings Raymond Jacobsen of Saint Paul, John (Blair) Jacobsen of New Mexico, Steven (Karia) Jacobsen of Flagsaff, Ariz., Ruth Leitel of New Mexico, Mary (Jim) Lippold of Iowa; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Fredrick Jacobsen.
