The Southeastern Minnesota Symphonic Orchestra will begin its 2009-10 season with a concert on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12, titled “Great Voices of Albert Lea.”

The concert will feature local talent and showcase the voices of Diane Heaney, Sonjia Hill, Angie Johnston, Mary Jane Pierson, Brenda Ludtke, Lisa Sturtz, John Holt, Jeff Laeger-Hagemeister, Melissa Griffith, Glen Parsons, Patty Parsons and Mary Wayne. 

The orchestra will have its first rehearsal on Sunday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Albert Lea High School band room.  If you are interested in playing with the orchestra, contact Brock Besse at 373-6424.
