Benefit Monday for son of Albert Lea couple

Central Freeborn Lutheran Church, 74427 245th St., Albert Lea, will hold a soup and pie supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. Proceeds from the supper will benefit Rob Moszer, son of Barry and Wendy Moszer of Albert Lea and grandson of Earl and Ruth Thompson. Rob Moszer has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Moszer’s mobility issues and problems gripping with his hands have made it impossible for him to work in his job as a policeman in Aurora, Colo. He is being treated with intravenous antibiotics at a new clinic in Colorado Springs. He is also working with a physical therapist in the hopes of stopping the progression of the symptoms and disability.

Chili and wild rice, potato and chicken noodle soup will be served. There will also be ice cream. Cost is $6.50 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 years and children 5 years and younger eat free.
Those attending are asked to bring nonperishable food items to support the local food shelves.
