Bulldogs volleyball wins Bishop-Garrigan tournament

The Lake Mills volleyball team went 5-0 Saturday at the Bishop-Garrigan tournament.
The Bulldogs defeated St. Edmonds 19-21, 21-11, 15-6; Clarion Goldfield 21-8, 21-4; CAL 21-9, 21-12; Garner-Hayfield 21-11, 21-8; and Algona-Garrigan 21-8, 21-9.
Darcy Nelson led Lake Mills with 32 kills on the weekend and Josie Brackey tallied 27. Lindy Pins added 21 and Amanda Lampman 12.
Morgan Fjelstad had 84 assists in the tournament and Brackey led the team with 24 digs. Pins registered 22 digs and Fjelstad had 16.
The Bulldogs served at 91 percent as a team in the five matches.
Lake Mills faces Garner-Hayfield Tuesday as it tries to secure it sixth consecutive North Iowa Conference regular season title.
