I realize your sports editor covers quite a few sporting events but only reports on the varsity of that sport. There are in most cases a junior varsity and a C-squad teams who DO NOT even get mentioned. It wouldn’t take much to report, “The Junior Varsity team won/lost their match 4 to 1 and their record is 4-1-1.” “The C-squad team won/lost their match 4 to 1 and their record is 6-0-0” or whatever. These kids are people, too, and would appreciate just being mentioned for their efforts. Maybe apply just a little more effort and concern for these participants.
