Cruises in Albert Lea went well all summer

The Old Car Company of Southern Minnesota would like to take the opportunity to thank a number of area organizations and individuals who helped make our monthly Classic Car Cruises in downtown Albert Lea such a big success this past summer.

From our very first meeting, Convention and Visitor Bureau Director Susie Petersen and Police Chief Dwaine Winkels were extremely enthusiastic and supportive of the concept and offered their services to help with the event in any way they could.

Participants throughout the summer events voiced numerous comments about how fantastic it was to have such great cooperation with our local police force, and we would like to especially thank Lt. Jeff Strom, Lt. Darren Hanson and Lt. J.D. Carlson for their assistance and support in coordinating the events. In addition, thanks go out to Scott Overland and the City Garage team for their help in providing the equipment uptown for staging the cars for the cruises around Fountain Lake.

We would also like to thank Anna Rahn of Power 96 for her help in communicating our activities throughout southern Minnesota as well as the folks from the Green Mill, Big Island Bar & Grill, Moose Club and the American Legion for hosting the social gatherings after the Car Cruises.

And last, but not least, we would like to thank all the participants for their involvement in making these events the memorable experience that they ultimately turned out to be.
