Funeral services for Harry Kuiters, 92, of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Dennis Seiler will officiate. Interment will be at the Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Harry died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center.
Harry Kuiters was born on Oct. 13, 1916, in Mahaska County, Iowa, to William and Bertha Kuiters. Harry grew up in Hollandale. On Dec. 29, 1938, he was united in marriage to Eunice Ruhnke. They resided in rural Hollandale where Harry farmed. Harry was a member of Faith Baptist Church and an associate member of Calvary Baptist Church in Florida. Through the years, Harry had actively served on many local, county and state boards.
Survivors include his daughters: Judy (Bill) Moser of Cedarville, Ohio, and Jane (Jim) Mone of Bloomington; grandchildren: Juleen (Bill) Smith, Troy (Sue) Mone, and Doug (Danette) Phillips; great-grandchildren: Emilie and Ashley Benick, Zachary, Joshua and Ellie Mone and Grant Phillips.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eunice; granddaughters: Sheryl Moser and Susan Phillips; brother, Jacob Kuiters; and sister, Hattie Draayer.
